Founded in 2021, CleverPine is one of Bulgaria's fastest-growing software development and digital services companies with leading strategy, consulting, systems engineering and operations capabilities. For a mere few months since its creation, the company achieved impressive success and grew a team of 50 professionals.

We are happy to be among the first to learn more about the company, its mission, and its goals! And we had the opportunity to talk to the person who can share the most exciting details about the company - Georgi Litvinenko, Co-Founder and VP of Product at CleverPine. 

With over 20 years of management and engineering experience at companies ranging from startups to global enterprises, Georgi leads the product delivery for strategic accounts, consistently driving business growth, delivering superior customer experience and positive business impact to clients.

Tell us a bit about CleverPine - your mission, ambitions, clients, notable
products, or services?

At CleverPine, we have taken on an ambitious mission to redefine the meaning and value of software service providers. We are a team of 50 outstanding software consultants, architects, and engineers, who embrace challenges and get hyped by finding smarter practical solutions that make a difference. Our focus is on crafting end-to-end cross-technology solutions with full ownership of the results. In other words, we bring forth our ideas and shape projects as if they were our own. 

Looking ahead, we are aiming to double our team size within the next year and grow to 150 professionals by the end of 2023. The leadership team behind CleverPine combines decades of experience in the software development sector, building and developing engineering teams. We have done this before and have the necessary know-how, so we see this as our next exciting endeavor. 

What has the company achieved since its launch? Your proudest moment? 

CleverPine was founded in April 2021, and since then, we have managed to grow to a team of 50 professionals. That’s less than six months! The achievement is impressive, the success is tremendous, so it makes us all incredibly proud. 

Moreover, the team behind CleverPine unifies primarily senior engineers and software architects, each of us being an incredible professional. This allows us to hire and provide the best environment for developing young talent eager for growth and achievements. 

Tell us about a trend that is shaping your area of work at the moment. 

Talking about trends, we see that clients recognize the value of “software services” not through individuals and freelancers but through managed project teams, who take end-to-end responsibility for the product and results. 

What defines CleverPine as a software service provider is precisely this - taking full ownership over the committed outcomes. We compose fully functional teams with the right mix of skills and attitudes and work shoulder by shoulder toward a common goal. We build on the team’s collective cross-boundary expertise to achieve results that matter. 

Why do you invest in junior talent?

We believe in the boundless potential of young people eager to learn and reach new technical and personal expertise levels. Three out of our five Heads of Technology at CleverPine have started their career paths as Junior talents within our team and are graduates from IT academies here in Sofia. 

We have shared previous experience in working with IT academies from the educational ecosystem since 2015. Throughout those years, we have created our own talent development methodology to foster growth. We know that with the right team set-up, mentoring program, upskilling plan, and relentlessly pushing as a team, the sky is the limit.

Why did you choose Telerik Academy as your partner to that end? 

We have experience working with Telerik Academy since 2017 and have always been pleased with the depth of expertise, technology skills, and, most importantly, the pure human qualities of all the trainees we have met. Over these 4 years , we have seen nearly 20 Telerik Academy graduates grow while working with us. We are absolutely convinced of the capacity of Telerik Academy to prepare graduates for success, and it was, therefore, our first-choice partner.  

What is your vision for the future? What’s next for CleverPine?

Our sights are set on ensuring sustainable growth in every aspect of what we do. Within the next year, we are looking to build a highly talented tech team of 100 professionals. We will go on to develop partnerships with new clients, solve even more challenging problems, and build truly outstanding software solutions. As always, we will continue to expand our skill set and knowledge and relentlessly drive improvements in existing solutions.
