Developing the next generation of digital business leaders

The mission of Telerik Digital Academy is to boost digital competences in Bulgarian society by preparing the next generation of professionals to embrace and lead digital business transformation. The initiative is organized by Telerik Academy, a free tech-ed initiative for software engineers.

Telerik Digital Academy kicks off with a free, comprehensive eight-week digital marketing course, in cooperation with Google. With emphasis on gaining hands-on experience and learning from seasoned marketing experts, the course navigates an integrated digital marketing program, fundamental for today’s business success. Graduates receive a certificate of completion.

  • Who it’s for

    All marketing students, professors, practitioners and non-marketing experts may apply.
  • What you’ll learn

    Students will master core digital marketing practices and the entire process of creating a campaign, including planning, pitching, executing and measuring. They’ll learn how to integrate different channels for shaping the customer’s digital journey, including search, display, mobile and social.
  • How to apply

    Seats are limited. The application process includes:
    1. Registration via Telerik Academy’s online system
    2. Submission of a CV and cover letter
    3. Test of cognitive (IQ) and English language skills at Telerik Academy
    4. Proof of a passing grade of 80 or above on the Google AdWords Fundamental Exam

    Learn to speak the language of marketing in a digital world. Get familiar with the essence of a brand and its digital impact. Think of the consumer and how you should communicate with them. Learn how to foster innovation in marketing using new opportunities in digital.

    You can’t improve what you can’t measure. Use Google Analytics to gain insights into who visited a website, how they got there, what actions they took and why they may have left.
  3. Drive Performance through Search Marketing

    Performance marketing converts moments of intent into profitable customer actions. Anticipate customer intent and deliver timely messages in the key moments that matter. Master pay-per-click (PPC) advertising in Google AdWords.
  4. Create Demand with Display and Video Marketing

    Reach targeted audiences as they browse the web and watch video online and build awareness at scale. This module will teach you the best practices of using Google’s Display Network (GDN) and YouTube advertising and will introduce you to programmatic advertising.
  5. Prepare for a Mobile-First Customer

    Consumers shifting across desktop, laptop, smartphone and tablet screens has made the online customer journey both more complex and more measurable. Marketers must adapt to ensure that their brand message and online customer experience remain consistent across all devices. Think “mobile-first” and master the essentials of mobile web and app marketing.

Course Details

  • Commitment

    Students will be expected to commit to an average of 10-12 hours per week for classwork and an additional 5+ hours for homework.
  • Schedule

    Lectures are from 18:00 to 21:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and some Saturdays at the Telerik Academy learning center in Sofia.
  • Language of instruction

    The course will be conducted in English.
  • Additional Google Certifications

    To take full advantage of the training, participants could also opt to obtain several Google certifications. More information will be provided throughout course.
